ECCPASA's Tomorrow's Leaders Camp (TLC) is a fun, yet educational camp that provides interactive, hands-on experiences that will teach and enhance the leadership qualities of its young participants. TLC is an extension of community and school based prevention programming and services that is provided to the community. Research shows substance abuse prevention is more effective with education and strong skill set such as appropriate social skills and decision making skills and refusal skills.
Tomorrow's Leaders Camp has developed its curriculum based on the current research. The focus of Tomorrow's Leaders Camp is "Feeding Yourself, Your Community and Your World." Participants will be exposed to experiences that are not of common knowledge and experience to them. They will learn that their decisions are not made in a vacuum and thay they can make positive changes in their lives and the lives of those around them - to be leaders in the various realms of their communities. Participants will hone in on their leadership and decision making skills by participating in experiential learning opportunities in the communities in which they live and lessons taught from various researched curriculums. Guest speakers and experts in various community projects as well as field trips will enhance this learning experience.
